How Our Website Design Process Flows
WEBSITE PROPOSAL
We collaborate on the format and scope of the website through an in-person, telephone or email meeting. This scope includes the number of website pages for the site, navigation links, content along with any other special functions required such as integration with accommodation booking engines and social media plug-ins.
We go over the availability of graphics, images and text content as well as the look and feel of the website and other websites that are similar to what you are looking for. Once all parties are satisfied with the collaboration we will put together a design brief, including navigation and keywords research.
DESIGN BRIEF
This design brief will include the budget, timeline, number of pages, navigation, keyword usage etc. Everything that will be included within the project will be outlined in the proposal. We 100% adhere to the budget so there are no surprises unless there are approved design revisions which will be noted as an addendum.
CONTENT
It is the client's responsibility to provide us with the text content. If this is something you need help with DOWN UNDER online can assist at an added on hourly charge.
IMAGES
There are a few options when it comes to imagery. If you have existing images for us to work with, we are happy to use them. If we use stock imagery we can purchase the images on your behalf and then bill you back for them on the final invoice. We can also arrange for one of our in-house photographers to visit your business or property. Costing to be arranged.
SITE MAP
We will work with you to structure the content architecture of the site which is commonly referred to as the sitemap. We will first identify who the major visitor types are and make sure that all content is intuitively available for all visitor user types. As part of our service the Sitemap is submitted to Google for review and inclusion within the listings.
DESIGN
The first step to the design of a new website is locking in the design for the homepage per our collaberation.
Once approval is signed off on the home page design with some potential minor changes, we proceed to develop the secondary pages.
DEVELOPMENT
The secondary pages will be designed and programmed including any forms, social media plug-ins, image galleries, reviews and more per the original design brief specifications. All web pages are optimised for search engines and are quality control tested. All secondary pages are reflective of the home page design for marketing continuity.
PUBLISHING
All pages of the website will be published to a hidden folder under the DOWN UNDER online name for your review. Any last minor revisions noted by you will be completed. All Search Engine Optimisation is completed with the meta, alt tags, keywords and sitemap.
The website will then be published to the internet under your chosen website Domain Name on the DOWN UNDER online website hosting server per budget specifications. We can also register a Domain Name for you if required.
The website is then submitted to the search engines to index.
